The FoodSafe Course is available at Kamloops Japanese Canadian Association (160 Vernon Ave, North Shore) on Professional Development Day Friday May 18 from 9:00 to 5:00.

The FoodSafe Course is a valuable addition to a student’s resume and is also a requirement for several post secondary training programs. The FoodSafe Course is a one day training program recognized across Canada as meeting the requirements for food safety training for food service and health care workers and others.

The course is designed for front line food service workers such as cooks, servers, bussers, dishwashers, and deli workers and is also a requirement for those studying Culinary Arts, Health Care Assistant, Early Childhood Education. Upon passing, students will receive a FoodSafe certificate valid for 5 years through Interior Health.
